Training records software for CDL schools
Class A, Class B and upgrade students, scored on the range and the road, with the federal behind-the-wheel elements signed off and every record ready for an audit.

CDL schools
Built around the federal ELDT rules
Entry-level driver training (ELDT) applies to anyone getting a Class A or Class B CDL for the first time, upgrading to Class A or B, or getting a passenger, school bus or hazmat endorsement for the first time. The training must come from a provider listed on FMCSA's Training Provider Registry (49 CFR 380.609). ELDT Systems keeps the behind-the-wheel side of that record.
Federal behind-the-wheel elements
The range and public road elements of 49 CFR Part 380, Appendices A and B, each with a proficiency sign-off by the instructor.
Range and test preparation
Practice runs of the basic control skills exercises, counted the way the state CDL manuals describe: encroachments, pull-ups, looks and final position.
Theory from Moodle
Connect your Moodle theory course and each student's theory scores and completion date sit next to their range and road record.
Instructor files
Each trainer's CDL, endorsements, medical card and experience, with reminders before anything expires.
Skills test appointments
Test date, site and the vehicle the student tests in, with a warning when a permit expires before the test.
What the registry needs
Flags a missing license number, state or completion date before you report a student's training.
The record
Every session becomes a signed, dated record
Score every session on a phone
Each skill on your own score sheet, tapped 1 to 5 while you ride along. Running averages show who is ready and who needs more time.
A clock in every section
Start and stop the clock beside each section's minutes. The record shows the start and end times, and the trainer can correct the minutes.
Signatures on every session
The student and the trainer sign on the screen. A student who could not sign at the time signs later from their own login.
Who taught, and in which vehicle
Every session keeps the trainer who taught it, substitutes included, and the vehicle used.
Documents in the student file
Enrollment agreements, permits, licenses and photos stay with the student's record.
Reports when you need them
A daily progress report PDF for each student, a full audit binder, and every score as a spreadsheet.
State rules
Training rules where you teach
Driver training rules are set by each state. Add each classroom and range location in ELDT Systems and it shows the rules for that state, with links to the official sources.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Does ELDT Systems report training to the Training Provider Registry?
Not yet. It keeps the record and flags anything missing that the registry asks for, such as the license number, state, training type and completion date. Your school submits the certification on FMCSA's TPR website.
Can we use our own score sheets?
Yes. Start from the ready-made Class A and Class B sheets or build your own sections and items, and link items to the federal behind-the-wheel elements.
How long must ELDT training records be kept?
Training providers on the registry must keep the required records for at least three years from the date each record is generated or received (49 CFR 380.725).
Does it work when the truck has no signal?
Yes. Scores are kept on the phone and sent when the signal comes back.
